New developments in the field of management system standards

On the 29th of January, SGS Hungary Ltd. held the first conference for enterprise customers about the new drafts of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 standards and the ISO 50001 energy management systems standard.

We provided some very important information about the Directive 2012/27/EU which prescribes obligatory energy audits for companies (except small and medium-sized enterprises) until 5th of December 2015 but the energy audit can also be substituted by certification against ISO 50001 standard. Issue of the Hungarian legislation -which is conform to the EU Directive- has been delayed, but companies should prepare for the execution.

To establish an energy management system according to ISO 50001 standard and certification of it by an accredited organization such as SGS Hungária Ltd. as soon as possible is the most convenient way to meet the foreseeable legal requirement.

The conference had a great interest and we will hold another event with the same content on the 2nd of March.
