Authentication of Environmental Data

The National Development Agency has published two tenders, essentially with an identical content for businesses within the frame of the Economical Development Operative Program and the Central Hungarian Operative Program to support environment oriented technology development. (GOP-2008-2.1.4 and KMOP-2008-1.2.4)
The amount of the subsidy that can be granted through the tenders above is HUF 5 to 50 million; the limit of the subsidy is 40 to 50 per cent of all costs to be accounted.
Technological developments that can be subsidized are focused on the following areas:
the launch of material and energy saving technologies and those that have low refuse and emission rates, to apply the available best techniques (BAT), technologies focusing on the replacement of raw and ancillary materials with renewable and secondary raw materials, environment-friendly packaging technology. To implement environmental load reduction as a result of the development is an essential element of the tender. The applicants must present the foregoing in case of the environmental performance indexes based on the base value and the undertaken value selected by the applicants. The performance of the undertaken values constitutes the contractual obligation. The base values of the undertakings concerning environmental load reduction must be supported by attestation certificates.
The applicants must submit the attested values concerning the actual year in case of their undertakings concerning all environmental loads in the reports to be completed in the course of the project implementation.
Therefore, the base values and the target values to be performed in the course of the project must be certified with an authenticated certificate. The certifying body can be any certifying organization accredited for ISO 14001 by the National Accreditation Board. In addition, it is a requirement to involve an expert in the authentication procedure who holds a license that makes such person eligible for the completion of an environmental protection inspection.
SGS Hungária Kft. is prepared to complete the authentication of the environmental protection data that is required to win the subsidy subject to the tender based on its accreditation, the professional preparedness of its staff and their eligibility.
Furthermore, it is another condition to win the subsidy that the applicants must have or undertake the authentication of an environment oriented control system that complies with the requirements of ISO 14001 or its registration in accordance with EMAS, or they must have the EU ecolabel and the national Environment Friendly Product qualification.
